Stories and highlights
There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
A year at our school
Each year, NAIDOC Week is a special celebration at Darlington Point Public School — a time for our students, staff, and community to come together in recognition of the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
The image featured here is a meaningful artwork created by Amarni, a former DPPS student, who painted it especially for our school. Her artwork beautifully reflects the connection between our school, our community, and the rich Wiradjuri Country on which we learn and grow.
NAIDOC Day is always a highlight of our school year — filled with learning, storytelling, music, and shared experiences that deepen our respect and understanding of culture and Country.
Education Week is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate learning, growth, and community at Darlington Point Public School. Our annual assembly showcases the achievements of our students and highlights the incredible work happening in classrooms every day.
This year, we were also proud to welcome families and grandparents into our school to share in the celebration. Grandparents Day gives students the chance to show their loved ones around, participate in classroom activities, and reflect on how education connects generations.
It’s always a joyful occasion filled with smiles, performances, and pride — a true reminder that learning is at the heart of our community.
